As the 25-26 academic job market begins, we’re proud to support two pillars of our incredible AMA DocSIG officer team who are entering the next phase of their academic careers this summer:

πŸ“Œ Danielle Hass is a consumer behavior researcher from West Virginia University seeking opportunities in the U.S. market. Her work focuses on GenAI and social media communities, specifically on how they impact consumer emotions and well-being. She has four publications and has presented her work ten times at rigorous academic conferences. Passionate about teaching, Danielle designed and created materials for her digital and brand marketing classes and received stellar evaluations. Her excellence in research, teaching, and service earned her WVU’s Outstanding Marketing Ph.D. Student and a James R. Brown Research Award.

πŸ“Œ Mackenzie Volk is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Marketing at the University of South Carolina. Her research explores how social factorsβ€”such as pet identity, gender, and accentsβ€”influence consumer behavior, offering novel insights for businesses and policymakers.
Mackenzie has earned outstanding teaching evaluations by bringing examples from industry experience with Toyota, Amazon, and Kroger into her classroom. She serves as Vice Chair of Member Engagement for DocSIG and as a FirstGen mentor to students through AMA’s First Generation program.

We’re grateful for the contributions Danielle and Mackenzie made to the American Marketing Association DocSIG community during their PhDs and excited to see the impact they’ll continue to make in the field. We can’t wait to see where you two place and wish you all the best!
