About the Speaker:
Dr. Andreas U. Lanz is a distinguished marketing professor and faculty board member at the University of Basel. His research, particularly on influencer marketing, has received widespread recognition, including award-winning publications in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Management Science, and MIS Quarterly. His work has also garnered attention beyond academia, with features in Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review.
Beyond his research, Dr. Lanz plays an active role in shaping the marketing discipline. He serves as an editorial review board member for the Journal of Marketing and Marketing Science, and he co-chairs both the Creator Economy Retreat and the EMAC Creator Economy Special Interest Group. His dedication to mentoring emerging scholars is evident through his role as a co-chair of the EMAC Job Market Simulation, helping PhD students navigate the academic job market. A recipient of numerous accolades—including the 2024 Outstanding Reviewer Award (Journal of Marketing) and the 2021 AMA Don Lehmann Award.
