Virtual Session

We’ve officially kicked off Summer AMA!

This morning, our DocSIG community gathered virtually for “From PhD to Placement: Insights from the 2025–2026 Who Went Where (WWW) Survey.” For many doctoral students, the WWW Survey is one of the first resources they turn to when preparing for the academic job market.

What makes it special is that it keeps evolving: each year our WWW team reviews the survey, incorporates community feedback, and refines it to stay relevant for the next generation of doctoral students. We’d genuinely love to hear from youβ€”please reach out to the DocSIG team anytime.

A big thank you to our DocSIG officers: Reza Pedarpour (Kent State University) and Mona Safizadeh (University of Rhode Island), and Chair Ishita Nagpal (Georgia State University) for making these results live. And Xiaoying Feng (Syracuse University) moderating the session.

And this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see everyone in person in Denver for the DocSIG Pre-Conference (Fri, July 24), “Behind the Hire: Faculty Perspectives on the Marketing Job Market” (Sat, July 25), and our 30 Years of DocSIG Celebration (Sat, July 25)β€”a milestone worth celebrating together.
See you in Denver!

Our WWW team will share:

:white_tick: An interactive Q&A where you can ask your questions

Whether you’re just beginning your PhD or preparing for the job market, this session offers valuable insights into the academic placement landscape.

We hope you’ll join us and be part of the conversation!
